It's official, I will be stepping down from duties on Friday 3rd April! But don't worry, it won't be from mailling. Instead after 20 years in childcare (I know, I don't look a day over 26), I've decided that I want to pursue other challenges withing WraithMaille. And just like the royal couple, I'm doing it for my family. 10 years ago my eldest needed me at home so I became a childminder, and now Mini Maille needs his mum more than a minder. Mr Maille also calls it my mid life crisis, but without dating an 18 year old or buying a sports car (but I am partial to a camper van) so that's OK.
Truth be told, it's very true what people say about 'burn out' and I was definitely feeling the need to pursue my creative outlet more. So I joined an indie biz community following a kickstarter by Leona over at Indie Roller ( you can still join up here ). I'm slowly learning to have more direction and believe in myself - and that's a massive thing as a creative business owner. Every time I put a new piece out there it's with trepidation as it's a little bit of me, but the joy I get when other people love something as much as I do is immense! And this is why I'm pushing forward with the events this year, both in person and online. You'll see me popping up as a guest trader on the Alternative Market for their online market nights, so go and check them out, give them a like and I'll be sure to shout it from the rooftops when you can find my wares for sale.
So why am I telling you this? Well, I can't do it without you, without your support and your encouragement. I mean, I'm even adding in inspirational quotes - next you'll find me surrounded by candles and listening to whale music with my pliers in my hand. So keep on liking my work, sharing it with your friends, saying hello when you see me and feel free to bribe me with tangfastics to keep me mailling.
